Do's and Donts
✅ DO’s
🔌 Use the Correct Power Plug and Connector
Always use a plug and connector designed specifically for 220V neon flex lights.
🧼 Install on a Clean, Smooth Surface
Ensure the surface is free of dust, oil, and moisture to ensure strong adhesion and secure mounting.
🌧️ Use Waterproof Neon Flex for Outdoor Applications
Choose IP65 or higher-rated neon flex for exterior installations.
✂️ Cut Only at Marked Cutting Points
Follow the manufacturer’s cut guides — never cut randomly to avoid damaging internal circuitry.
🔍 Test Before Permanent Installation
Light up the neon flex to confirm proper function, color, and brightness before securing it.
🔧 Secure Properly With Mounting Clips or Channels
Use the correct accessories like aluminum channels or clips for safe and tidy installation.
❌ DON’Ts
🌀 Don’t Power While Coiled
Always unroll the neon flex before powering it to prevent overheating and melting.
⚡ Don’t Connect Beyond Maximum Run Length
Exceeding the recommended continuous run can lead to voltage drop and overheating.
🚫🏠🌧️ Don’t Use Indoor-Rated Neon Flex Outdoors
Avoid using indoor-rated versions in wet or exposed environments.
🔄 Don’t Make Tight Bends or Kinks
Sharp bends can damage the internal LED and PCB structure — follow minimum bend radius guidelines.
⚠️ Don’t Mix Voltages or Modify Power Input
Never connect to the wrong voltage (e.g., 12V, 24V, or direct AC without correct adapter); it’s unsafe and will damage the lights.
🔥 Don’t Cover With Insulating Materials
Avoid placing insulation or heat-trapping materials on top of the neon flex — it needs airflow to cool properly.
